'SKWs - Supported Key Workers'

It is our policy that generally Malawian churches should financially support their own pastors and often this is possible by them doing some part time work or business.

However since September 2008 we have run a scheme to support a small group of 7 pastors who have been selected by their church leadership because they have specific key roles such as church planting in challenging new areas, evangelism or teaching amongst the churches.

These 'Supported Key Workers' as we have called them have found themselves released in a new way to devote themselves to their particular ministry. The scheme is run within an organized framework with defined responsibilities, agreed length of commitment and regular reviews.

We believe this scheme will prove fruitful and we are grateful for those whose giving has made this possible.
