Newsletter from Martin and Marian November 2008
Our dear friends. Greetings and love to you all, we are writing this from the UK. Our last letter to you catalogued some of the 'disasters' which have befallen us this year and we asked you to pray about our future in Malawi. Here is how things panned out :-

Harvery's October Prayer Letter
Dear Friends, After a very busy summer period, things have settled down with us here and I am finally able to send out a long overdue prayer letter! There have been a number of changes in our work that are now established, the prime one being me taking on a full-time teaching position at a local international school as Year 3 teacher and Deputy Head.

Report on August visit to Malawi - Miles and Liz Thomas - See also under Projects
It was such a joy for us to spend 5 weeks in Malawi during the month of August. We really enjoyed being part of the 2008 New Life conference alongside Martin and Marian, Phil and Fi and a group from Epsom with our old friends Neil and Sue Dunlop.

The Mission of Chisomo Trust

The Trust

The Chisomo Trust registered with the charity commission in 2005 (reg no. 1108334). Present trustees are Dr Miles Thomas (chairman), Dr Ian Hall (treasurer), Liz Thomas (Donor Support Co-ordinator), Mr Dai Patterson, Mr David Raistrick, Mr Tony Seaton and Mr Terry Watson.


What do we do?

What do we do? The Chisomo Trust (UK) aims to co-ordinate and direct support for mission activities voverseas especially in Malawi, Central Africa where it is partner to a trust of the same name registered in Malawi. Our mission activities include handling of donations, partnership with churches and support for bible teaching events, support for key mission workers, famine and humanitarian relief, medical aid, orphan projects and dissemination of up to date information via its web site and literature.


What can you do?

  • Prayer - we truly value your prayers for our work in Malawi - please see 'latest news' section for newsletters with up to date prayer requests.
  • Financial Support - any gift however small is greatly appreciated and can go much further than you may realise in the Malawi economy  please contact the treasurer at the address below who can help you to help us.
  • Visit - from time to time UK churches have been able to send teams of 6-12 people out to help with specific tasks such as church conferences  this helps to create partnership and encouragement to all involved - contact the chairman who can advise further.
  • Serve - individuals with specific skills can provide valuable contribution to the work in either a short, mid or longer term capacity. Eg youth workers, medical personnel, builders, bible teachers, agriculturalists and others.
